2018 Wrap-Up & A Legend Retires

It's been a cracking finish to 2018, wrapping up FIFA Mobile 18 and beginning the new Season 19. Here's a look back at the last year of Canadian Blend titles...

Looking at our blog analytics, we've had 229 unique users visit our site 1,300 times since launch in April. 183 of those users are Canadian, 13 Germans and 12 from the US. The top 5 cities that our blog is visited from include Burnaby, Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal and Aurora.

This season (14 for us) we've really seen the league start to reach its potential. One of our relegated squads (mumby) played 5 of their 10 matches yet were still dropped. Historically, a 50% play ratio would put you well within safety in this league. Relegated this season are ZAYN, mumby and PandaBear.

We also say goodbye to our dominant Champions League legend, ever-ready LvL tournament anchor and OVR overachiever Marcos. Marcos has been with Canadian Blend for 182 tournaments scoring 5,632 goals in the last 153 of those LvL's (that's 37 goals per match if you do the math). Marcos was famous for waiting until the final minutes of a close LvL to begin raining goals down upon the opposition. We've stolen quite a few wins that way. Last season's players will also remember Marcos skyrocketing his OVR by what seemed to be several points a day during those last weeks. You couldn't blink without seeing that number jump. Thank you Marcos - it's been a pleasure.
